About Our Club
The Giddings New Horizons Lions Club was formed in 1987 and was one of the first all-women Lions clubs in Texas. The club has approximately 80 members and is considered one of the most active clubs in the state.
The New Horizons Club serves the local community with various service projects including hosting the Giddings Community Blood Drive for over a decade. The club has also raised and given hundreds-of-thousands of dollars in scholarships to graduating seniors at Giddings High School. In 2011 GHS seniors received over $30,000 in scholarships and in 2012 the club was able to give over $13,000.
The Brain Power Five & Dime to benefit Alzheimer's Research is the newest service project for our club.
