Our Club


The Giddings New Horizons Lions Club was formed in 1987 and was one of the first all women's Lions clubs in Texas. Our club has approximately 100 members and is one of the most active clubs in the state. 


  • The Giddings New Horizons Club serves the local community with various service projects. Our club consistently hosts the Giddings Community Blood Drive and has for over a decade.


  • Over the years the club has also raised and given hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships to graduating seniors at Giddings High School. In May of 2023 our club gave seniors over $15,000 in scholarships. 


  • We are active in our local schools with our Hearing & Vision Screening committee which test all of the local elementary ages children for hearing and vision problems.

  • Our club supports various Lions club charities including the Texas Lions Camp in Kerrville. Texas Lions Camp is available for children with special needs or diabetes. Campers attend the camp at no charge when sponsored by a Lions club.
