This is a chip-timed event. Race results will be available on site and online.
Packet pickup will begin Friday, September 16th at Schultz Homes and Land Real Estate - from
4:00 - 6:30 P.M. Schultz Homes and Land is
located at 934 East Austin Street (Hwy 290) in Giddings. Race day packet pick-up will be
Saturday, September 17th, beginning at 7:30 A.M.,
at the Giddings Municipal Golf Course. There will
be a separate area for pre-registered participants to pickup their packets inside the hall.

Brain Power Five & Dime - 5K & 10K Run, 5K Walk
The Giddings New Horizons Lions Brain Power Five & Dime includes a 5K Run/Walk and a 10K Run. Run or walk in memory of a loved one or in honor of someone currently struggling with this disease. Funds raised this year will be donated to the Darrell Royal Alzheimer's Research Fund which focuses on research (dkrfund.org).
To date we've raised over $15,000 for
Alzheimer's research. Our 2016 goal
is to host 300 runners and walkers
and raise $10,000.

The chip-timed event will begin and end at the
Giddings Municipal Golf Course located off
of James Turman Road - Lee County
Road 226. Race timing and onsite results
will be handled by Redemption Race
If necessary, overflow parking will be available at the Giddings Livestock Commission located on County Road 226.
Register on or before August 15th - Adults: $25, Children 12& Under $20
After August 15 - Adults $30, Children 12& Under $25
Both the 5 and 10K routes traverse the county roads near the golf course, just east of Giddings. The course is open to neighbor hood traffic, but traffic is light. We run rain or shine. Water stops will be located at strategic points along the course. Sag vehicles will monitor the course with water, refreshments will be available at the finish line. Refreshments for participants will be provided before, during, and after the race. 10K runners will start promptly at 8 A.M. 5K runners and walkers will start shortly thereafter.
Registration will be available online (until 11:59 P.M. on Sept. 14th) or by mailing in the registration form posted below. Participants may also register on race day. Only participants who pre-register by September 10, 2015 will be guaranteed a race t-shirt. Race day registration will be handled inside the meeting hall at the golf course.
